Haldighati is the place where Maharana Pratap's history became the turning point after the Haldighati battle between Mughal and Rajputana. The rocks here are of turmeric yellow color, hence the name Haldighati. The town houses the memorial of Chetak, the horse of Maharana Pratap who forsook his life for his master. Next to it lies Maharana Pratap memorial which is built in Mewari architecture style and worth a visit for a history lesson. Located 45 minutes away from Udaipur, Haldighati can easily be reached by hiring a taxi or renting a car from Udaipur.

5. Nathdwara

Located at the bank of river Banas, Nathdwara is the best place for people looking for spiritual inspiration. ‘Thakur Ji Ki Haveli' or Nathdwara temple is the main attraction of the place. This Krishna temple was built in the 17th century and has an interesting story behind its location. Other interesting features of the town include Pichwai paintings depicting Lord Krishna's life and are drawn on the walls of the town.
